c1900’s Gilt Gold Pocket Watch Type Locket
The locket is unbranded and unmarked. It maybe gold filled, plated or gilt gold. It is a much paler gold colour than is reflected in the photos.
The item was sourced from a USA estate sale. Inside is one glass cover with an old photo of a mother and three daughters dressed in Edwardian era clothing. If you wish to remove the glass I would suggest that you only do so by using a qualified jeweller. Add your own chain and wear.
The locket is in very good condition with no dings or dents. It has been etched and carved with the same designs on the back and front. Both of which have a blank monograme area where you can have your initials or name engraved.
The locket is 4cms by 3.8cms not including bail and weighs 19.7gms All measurements and weights are approximate only.
A real antique talking piece.
